We are delighted to announce that Kemble has been given a glowing report by the care industry watchdog, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We have been given a ‘good’ rating, with inspectors praising our “kind, caring and safe” support.
Our staff provide care and support for nearly 200 people across Herefordshire, and we are delighted with the report.
Cathy Watkins, Registered Manager of Kemble Care, says: “We have been rated as good in all areas, and inspectors were unable to make a single recommendation for further improvement, which is amazing really.
“Of course, we know there is always room for improvement and we are working very hard to ensure that our next inspection results in an ‘outstanding’ rating.
“We will always strive to provide the best services possible and support our clients in every way.
“I would like to say a big thank you to all of our carers and staff, and of course our clients who said such positive things to inspectors about the service they receive from us.”Kemble is currently on the look-out for more staff as it looks to increase its client base.
Managing Director of Kemble’s Visiting Services, Jenny Jones, says she hopes the positive CQC report would encourage more people to consider joining the team.
“The report was quite clear that Kemble is a good place to work, so I would encourage anyone interested in furthering their career to get in touch,” she says.
“We are also very open to people who have not worked in care before, and provide full training and support to all staff.”
In the report, inspectors were very complimentary about staff and the support they provided to clients.
Inspectors said: “People were confident that staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to provide the right care and support.
“People said that staff were reliable and turned up on time and the support they received was what they expected.
“They told us that staff always stayed for the expected time and made sure that they were alright before leaving.”
Inspectors also said: “Staff told us that they had good quality training which they felt helped them to do their jobs effectively.
“They said that they had good support and supervision and they felt supported in doing their job.”
