Kemble at Home, a Hereford based home care provider, has been rated ‘Outstanding’ for Caring by the health and social care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The newly published CQC report rates the home care provider as ‘Good’ overall, and ‘Outstanding’ for being caring.
The CQC awarded the accolade after a 3-yearly inspection of the provider, which included a detailed scrutiny of how the company operates and several interviews with clients and staff. Inspectors said the staff “demonstrated boundless empathy and understanding”, and that “the management team and staff consistently went the extra mile”.
In the report, one client was quoted saying, “I would never go anywhere else these are the very best, you can't fault them in anything, they really care,” while another client said, “They will all go out of their way to help you, each and every one”.
Inspectors said that Kemble at Home’s clients are “Truly respected and valued as individuals; and empowered as partners in their care in an exceptional service.” For example, the report points out that the company is known to occasionally fund outings for individual clients, to give people who would otherwise spend a lot of time inside a special day out.
Peter King, Managing Director of Kemble at Home, is delighted with the rating. “It all comes down to our staff, really. Our teams are optimistic and have a ‘can-do’ mentality. They love their clients, and many of them would move mountains to give their clients a good day. Receiving an ‘Outstanding’ for Caring is a fantastic recognition for them.”
It has been a successful year for Kemble at Home; the company has recently also won the ‘Care Employer’ Award at the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards.
